How to prepare for your BER Assessment

There are many things a homeowner can do that will make the process faster for both themselves and the Assessor.

Having the following items ready for the Assessor when they arrive at your property for the BER inspection will greatly help:

  • A recent electricity bill showing the Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN).
  • The year the property was built.
  • Copies of any previous BERs published for that property.
  • Drawings or architectural plans for the building.
  • Details or plans of any upgrades to the property (extensions, insulation, new windows uValues etc.)
  • The model and make of the heating boiler.
  • Ensuring the Assessor has safe access to all areas of the property.

1. Select your preferred time and date

2. Post your job online in 2 minutes

3. Get multiple quotes from Assessors

4. Secure a quote by paying €20 online

How Works

Once you post your job online, we notify all registered BER Assessors in your county. Assessors then submit quotes which you can accept by paying a €20 booking fee (this is included in the quote). Once paid, the Assessor will contact you within one business day to arrange the assessment at your property and we'll send you the Assessor's contact details too. Then you pay the balance of the quote directly to the Assessor on the day.

BER Certificate Cost offers the best prices in Ireland for your BER Certificate.
With over 300 registered BER Assessors around the county, we can provide you access to the most Assessors, with the best prices, in just two mintutes.
